Will LF-A replace sc430?
I think not as I've seen info on sc430 remake for 2007 side by side with LF-A introduction. THat said, will the LF-A have a folding hard top? I'm interested if it does. Just gotta have a folding top after my experience with the sc430. But that high powered LF-A is sooo tempting...

to make it quick and painless for both questions: totally doubt it now seriously, it won't since it would be in a completely different category car/performance/price wise.. with the hard top, I don't think the rear's design would allow space for a folding hardtop+mechanism

The LF-A should be made as light weight as possible, even a convertible is a bad move AFAIC, not to mention the extra weight of a convertible hardtop.

I heard on this site a couple of months ago that the body change for the sc 430 would be coming out in 2009 or possibly 2008. In the last couple of days I have heard that it is allready done and will be out for the 2007 model year. can anyone confirm?

I have heard from at least one car site that it will be 2007. Really, I hope not. I'd like my 2004 to retain its value a little longer. BTW if the new LS comes out with an approx 340 HP engine as said in some of these site. that might mean the SC430 will have that engine. An approx 10% boost doesn't thrill me. I most likely will get the supercharger from Luxury Motor Works instead and save a lot of money. Who knows really whats in store ... These are all rumors as far as I'm concerned til Lexus announces it. Still a lot of fun to speculate.

Now, I personally dont think the LF-A will replace the SC430. Two totally different cars. However there is a slight possiblity that the LF-C will. I think some of that cars styling will be incorporated into the new SC4**. But the more common rumor we have been hearing is that the rumored IS350 Coupe will be based off of that concept.

SO much confusion
Makes the wait that much bettter. Some random articles with pictures about LF-C:
A quote from one of the articles "The LF-C (Lexus Future Coupe) concept is our first glimpse of the design language that will define the next-generation IS, which surfaces in early 2006."
