I've read the forum before and see other's have had an issue with this A/C lens streaking, discoloring, etc...

Well here's my story.

I'm on my 3rd. The first was replaced after 1500 miles with the leather that surrounded it because the leather was cut replacing the cover [the entire cover must be replaced - not just the lens]. When I ran into the problem again, I told the dealer to get Lexus involved. I called Lexus customer service as well. After 3 months of discussion with the dealer and dealing with a worthless customer care department, I have a new cover that I have to treat like a brand new baby. The dealer told me they tried to find an aftermarket fix and weren't able to.

My lens over the radio has also discolored. Not nearly as bad as the A/C lens - the service manager even agreed with me.

By the way, my wife's RX doesn't have a problem.

So, be careful with both lens.

My question - What's the best installation for a satellite radio on the Levinson radio. I saw the units that are place in the ashtray section. Are these the best and were they DIYs? Thanks in advance.

not sure about XM myself, but i know sirius seems to have problems with sc430 setup?
