Well I really only have a few as I will be buying one of these babies next year. A used one of course since $66k just isn't reasonable for me to spend on a car. Anyway, see if you guys and gals can help me out;
1. Did lexus drop the horse power on the 06? I've read the previous models (2002-2005) had 300hp now the lexus site says 288hp.
2. How good is the Mark Levingston system really?
3. Will I easily be able to get an input added to connect my mp3 player?
4. Where on earth can I find a used sc for under $25,000? I dont care if it has 80k miles.
Thank in advance for all replies!

1) it's just due to new SAE ratings. it's the exact same engine. in fact, the new SC430 might be a bit faster coz' of the 6 speed tranny
2) it's very good, personally i can just stick to it for a long long time
3) you can visit vaistech.com for more information. i think they have module for that
4) really good luck man, at least post i have yet to see an sc430 in ok condition for less than 35k

By the way, up your budget a bit.... after you are looking at a hard top convertible made by Lexus. It will worth you every penny.

The only SC I found under 25k was one that was rolled ,missing several body components, and a salvage title. It sales (sold) for around 23.5k.
Auction prices I am told for a mid mileage 60k model cost dealers 27-29k.
Perhaps next year the retail prices will dip to 29k or so.

On your very last question, by Feb or March of next year you should be able to get an SC430 in the mid 30's for an 02. Remember that the hardtop has 8 motors, if one those motors goes out it will cost you at least $800 to get it fixed if it isn't under warranty. And thats just one of a dozen things you can find wrong. I was looking at an 02 with a friend last week and mid test drive the head unit quit, I'm afraid to imagine the cost that would have gone with that. We also found that sensors in the trunk that tell you when the top can and can’t come down were bad.
You'd be better served to up your budget a tad and get the most reliable 02 you can. Carmax and luxurymotors.com are excellent sources for good used cars at strong pricing (tho I simply used their pricing to hammer my Lexus dealer into submission lol) either of these sites can give you a reasonable idea of what a good 02 would cost you. Also you could deal direct with a wholesaler if your willing to take on some risk with your purchase.

On the ML question its a great unit tho I'd rate it as roughly the same kind of experience as my SL 500 was for the most part (except MUCH easier to use). You can only really tell the difference when your doing test drives and you heard another stereo an hour ago,
