Hi guys,
mom olanning to use some rims I already have for a new user 2002 sc430 just picked up (yay). I'm not
planning on coilovers now , so will be just swapping stock OEM "pie cutters". Has anyone run this rim setup
on stock tire size e.g. 245/40/18. Previous owner just put on new rubber , and I think it should fit in terms of wisthz
my main concern is the offset +22mm all around and how that will look with stock suspension. Will the wheels stick
out too much. Any pics would be appreciated. I tried using the "rim compared" but didn't answer my question aboitb
fender or wheel well figment/clearance. Any feedback welcomed!
Also note the stock rims are 8inch but the ones in question are 8.75in. Thanks.

Anyone care to take a stab at this fitment I'm really just concerned about that 22 mm offset with the stock being 45 mm but at the same time there's a lot of room in that wheel well and I'm not going to lower the car and then were slightly wider in the room that's all . Anyone?

....you'll be ok.....here's a pic of my Sc with 20mm offset & 245/40/18 with 8.50 width rims, also my vehicle is lowered. If it is time for shocks, you will notice a rub when you hit a dip/bump

....it's lowered on Tein Sports & it's about 1.75 lower, all the way around........on this pic, I have 245/40/18 on the front (18x8.5....20mm) & 275/35/18 on the rear (18x9.5...25mm)....since this pic,I've switched the fronts to 225/40/18......it makes the car feel more nimble & a little better handling....imo

A great wheel and tire fitment website, and not only for your sc430. https://www.wheel-size.com/size/lexus/sc/2005/

New 19" 8.5 front. 9.5 rear. +35 offset on the wife's car today. Think I may have to lower the car or get taller tires.

If you go on tirerack, then chose build winter tire and wheel combination. They have 16-18 inch wheels that fit the sc430. You have to chose winter tires before you can look at the wheels. Then you just remove the tires once they are in the shopping cart before checking out. Quick answer is yes it will ride smoother. how much? You won't know till you have them on. Atleast there's options for smaller wheels.

to NOMODS4ME, Yes, I switched from 18" wheels to 17" wheels and Michelin Primacy MX4 225/55-17 tires. The ride difference is unbelievable compared to the runflats that were on there before. Now it rides like a true luxury coupe as oppose to a performance coupe like say a Porsche Carrera where you feel every pebble in the road. The tires and wheels have been on about 4 years and are the most pronounced change made to the car. The tires have stayed in balance and show no noticeable wear. Best thing I've done to the SC430 by a long, long shot.

Hello guys - Getting ready to pull the trigger on my second mod (just completed the hidden license plate mod). The manufacturer offers the wheel I like with the following options: 19x8.5 +30, 19x9.5 +35, 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +22.

Would a combination of (F - 19x8.5 +30 and R - 19x9.5 +35) or (F - 19x9.5 +22 and R - 19x10.5 +22) work better (no rubbing, bumper modification or plans for bigger brakes)?

Might drop suspension with coilovers in the near future as well. Looking for the best fit aligning wheels with fender. Hate the stock recessed look.

Also please recommend a tire combination as well. TIA. Regards. Joe

....the 19x8.5 (30) & 19x9.5(35).....will be the safest or work the best, but you'll still have some recessed look. The 19x9.5(22) & 19x10.5(22)....will give you the best look & you can get away with both setups without any modifications. I will say that if you go with the 19x9.5/19x10.5 setup & you still have the factory shocks, you may get some rubbing (in the front) when you hit certain bumps or dips. If this is the case, new shocks or coilovers will cure the problem

Thanks for your response. So what size tires would you recommend with the 19x8.5 (30) and 19x9.5 (35) setup?
