Hopefully for 07 they bring the red interior to america and i also hope they give america the option of choosing there wheel finish and wood trim style like japan. Plus an sc350 would be nice it would at least lower the price of entry.

The real question is whether there will be an IS460.
If yes, the SC needs to go real big, 500 or 600h. Keeping in mind the ULEV-II ratings for every other Lexus, I don't think they'll ever offer a conventional engine bigger than the would be 5L.
If not, then SC460; LF-A for sports, and IS coupe for price.

My local dealer was pretty sure of it, not that that is a reliable source anyway.
It really doesn't seem like much of a task though for the 4.6 in a SC. I believe the 4.6 is still based on the same block as all the other V8s but with a changed bore and stroke. There was another post in the GS forums about the engine not fitting the GS. I do not believe that to be true. I guess time will tell.
86 more HP and 50ish more TQ sounds great. The car is heavy. What do you think? Realistically and consistently around 0-60 in low 5s? I know the LS was rated at 5.2 but you think that will be a commonly hit target?

well if the sc430 is getting new body style in 08, then we might just see the new engine in that style. it's kinda funny if the new engine is in this sc style right now for one yr and then gone.

If they are indeed doing a body style change that is significant then probably not. If it is a minor change like the 97 changes then it is still a possibility.
They did however do a GS300 for a single year and then ditch the engine in the Lexus line completely. Must be kind of annoying to people who bought those.

I am looking forward to that 08 model if it indeed is an 08. I think it would benefit Lexus in the long run even if it is short to run the same V8 in all of their cars as they have already done in the past.
