coz' on 04 it's different, 05+ have 4th gen nav....
for yours, i forgot how, but try to go to menu, and then system (or click on the dvd icon), and then top left, bottom left, top left, bottom left, bottom rigth. something should comes up. i have tried it on 3 different cars (different generations)

in my experience, the voice command is a piece of shxt. if you can get the upgrade for free, it might be fun to have it, otherwise, i would not pay a dollar for that trash functionality.
