Default Navigation while driving

I have an 04 SC430 and just got my wife the 06 GX470. I was on their page and saw a link that allows you to override the Nav system to allow you to program directions while driving (menu, volume, press the upper left corner, lower left corner (even though there are no button icons there) a couple times and it puts you into a menu screen which has an override option. Does anyone know of a similar feature for the 430? Or how to turn off the "warning/acceptance page when the car 1st starts?

Thanks!

you can't skip the warning page

to do the override in your 04, i think you go to menu, system, press on the system or the dvd icon, and then do the top left, bottom left, top left, bottom left, bottom right

After the process, i pressed the poisition icon instead of override icon.
Now my current position becomes somewhere at Washington, anyone knows how to correct that problem.
I disconnected the batteray and reconnected it, but the current position is still at Washington while I am actually in Houston.

I figure that out.
There was no GPS signal in my garage (actually just at some particular spot).
When I finally backed out my garage and started to drive for like 2 minutes, the GPS signal came back and automatically adjusted to the correct position .
It took me all afternoon...damn

Those screens don't look like what I have on my 04 SC430. What year is your car?

Default 03 Navigating while driving

I have an 03 LS430. I tried this and got to the Screen but it did not say "override drive" it simply said 'override". Pressing it does nothing. However, holding it for 3 seconds or more highlights it but i still cannot operate the navigation system in drive. Anyone know anything on this?

I also have an 05 SC430 and was not able to get to the screen. Is there a different sequence to get there on the 05 SCs?

I just tried this on my '02 SC430 and it worked exactly as described above.

Now, when the car is moving, none of the input areas are greyed out, which means that the passenger (or driver, for that matter) is free to use all features of the system.

Now, does anybody know what those other 6 buttons on the Secret Debug Diag screen do?

I was afraid to touch anything other than the drive override button, and then I hit "Back" to get the heck out of there before I screwed anything up.

Thanks to talwang for posting this helpful tip. Where do you learn this stuff?

Default 03 Navigating while driving

Hey I got it! Its working now. I can now navigate my 03 LS430 while driving. Still haven't figure out how to do the 05 SC430 because the screen doesn't look the same.

04 and 05 must have a different nav operating systems. The menu is there but you can't select the override option

Default Nav while driving

BT430, Try holding override for 3 secs or more even though it is not selectable. My wife just informed me that the setting doesn't hold though. When she got back in the car after it was turned off, she could not navigate while driving. Well atleast I know I can do it when I want!

yes, press and HOLD the override until you hear a beep, then you press the back button.

04 might be different from 03, 05 is definitely different since it's different system
