Hi Guys,
This morning my lovely wife took our SC430 to work and when she arrived told me that the Headlight cleaner was stuck on ! Checked it out and indeed it runs and used up all the fluid. Temporary fix was to remove the fuse for the Headlight Cleaner on the main fuse panel. I suspect a dead short near the motor on the cleaner. Anybody else have any idea's. My 2002 is out of warranty. Hate to have to pay big bucks to the Lexus dealer to fix something like this..
Cheers

Hello,
Most likely the switch (button) is stuck or shorted. The motor just receives the 12volts to operate so even if it acted up it could not do anything until it receives the voltage. I would first pop out the button on the dash . Maybe even bump it a couple of times.
Try unplugging the button first. If this turns off the washers then you know the switch is acting up. With the fuse back in of course.
If it is the switch then take it apart. It appears to be a simple toggle on/off button. Should be a simple two piece unit. Take care as some have a ball bearing inside that loves to jump out and roll where no eyes have gone before or will ever go.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Lee !
Appreciate the feed back. I saw your mods to your SC430, What type of Intake and ECU combo do you have, I was thinking about stepping up for a decent power boost without going too crazy and was interested in how hard the install was and what make and part number your Intake and ECU is ! Thanks appreciate it !
