Default upgrade to bridgestone runflat 050 tires?

has anyone ever upgraded to upgraded to the bridgestone potenza runflat 050 tires?
from the reviews Ive read on the tire sites, alot of people seem to like them better than the 040 tires that come stock with our sc430...

I read a decent review on them in one of the mags installed on a 3 series. Do not recall which mag or when but they liked them. I would love to have RFT's but I agree with Rominl on the stifness.

the car rides alot rougher than our rx330, especially over bumps & uneven surfaces...
I was considering changing to a non-runflat tire, but theres not much room for a spare...esp if you like to go top down...
though none of the runflats have lasted over 50 miles of use even though its supposed to go for 100 (3 flats this past yr... tons of potholes everywhere around here) I ended up having to call the towtruck most of the time anyway...

The Lexus people are now selling the new models with the Dunlop 5000 DSST. Apparently there is less "tramlining" or "bump steer".

Interesting because I put the Dunlop Graspic DS-2 DSST CTT winter tires on my SC and noticed an improvement immediately and these are snow tires. I have had pretty good luck with Dunlops over the years, better than Pirelli or Michelin. It still a runflat but here in New England with pothole season coming low profile 18" wheels are susceptible to blowouts and flats. It's the only thing about my SC that I don't like, but for the time being I will keep runflats on my car

Home is home. I wouldn't trade New Engalnd and Boston for that matter for anywhere else. Within a couple of hours you can be at the beach or in the mountains. I was on Cape Cod yesterday and it was beautiful. I am sure it's nice to be in Florida, especialy this time of year, but to each his own.
I guess all the Cali guys will pipe in now
