Default Tom's Side Skirts & Roof Spoiler

Installed the side skirts and roof spoiler today !

Side skirts were a breeze, perfect fit & finish, had to trim the rear inner plastic( black) were the factory screw attaches, New speed fastners included six per side.

You could reuse the foam padding on the stock skirts if you want, maybe some foam/acoustic tape to reduce noise like on the factory skirts.

The roof is held on using 3M double sided tape,I purchased some( box) primer adhesive pads to clean and prep the surfacebefore attaching, aligned & pressed down.

I did use a extra strip of tape in the centerof the roof spoiler, you leave two notchesin the seal at the rear window in the tape for any water to drain, I dont see how any would get in there from the top since there is a very good fit & seal .

Bumper assy is next , I'am not going to install the washers ( cutouts)on this assy since I never use them?

Will be back from painter next week, had to fill the holes in the bumper for the license plate ?
lame.....

I'am going to add a 05 grill , less the L emblem add the soarer emblem( remblem)ebay

The Wald Duchlett ii wheels are awesome and I get alot of stares) Rear ( 285/20 )- Front 255/20
Tein cs -28.0 inches front - 28.25 rear ( ground to wheel well )
I use a steel yard stick to obtain my Dim's

Will post pic's tomorrow

Coming soon Tom's CF Hood

Hey GEE-BEE,

Congrats to your new toys...bet it will look sweet once everything goes on the car.
Anyways, did you make sure that Tom's front bumper is direct fit to your 06 SC?
I realized that there is a slight difference in headlight shape between 02-05 and 06 model.
I found this out because I just installed 06 bumper on my 03 SC and it turns out that 06 headlight is slightly bulkier in size compared to old headlight.
Just giving you heads up.

Default 2006 sc430 FRONT BUMPER

I tried the Tom's eyelines and they dont fit well , Returned them....

Will remove the 06 stock and try the front bumper next week , if so I will eliminate the washers and will have to fill the screw holes for the plate mount.....

Best Regards
Gee-Bee

GEE BEE,

Congrats on those side skirts. I may go that route but will possibly forgo the bumper due to the washer issue. But.....you need to post pics man! Threads are worthless without pics! Let me add-good quality pics. Very close up on the edges where they meet the other body lines to gauge the fitment please.

Plus I assume they replace the stock side skirts. How is the fit? I know you said good, but I expect perfection as most after market body parts do not cover what the OEM parts cover on the car. Thanks!
Lee

correct, the 06 headlights are different from 02-05. i am just wonder if the overall boundary of the headlights are the same or not

Yes. Overall boundary is slightly different towards the inner center of the headlights. (06 headlight stretches out more than old headlights)

Bummer. perhaps a good body shop can take care of that fitment issue. Hope it works out GB.

Yep, I agree. Thanks for trying. Others with 06 SC's will benefit. Post some pics though when the other items are up.
