Got my headers yesterday. I already had the gaskets. And I am penciled in for the install Friday 4-7-06. Mine came with just headers no bolts, no gasket, no sticker. Hmmm but I wanted the sticker.

oops! Friday 4-7-06.
Tony, I was lucky to be referred to a local tech that has some Lexus and Supra expertise. I would like to thank you for your offer to help me with the install down there with your guys. I may still take you up on that if I can't get it done before you get yours on. Keep me posted, I will do the same.

Hey Lee,
I believe you said that you replaced your cat gaskets front and rear. Do you know or remember what what was the part # for the rear catylytic gasket? I bought the front # 90917-06059 but I'm getting 2 different #'s for the rear one from different dealers. I was given 90080-43033 and 90917-06078
looking int he manual the rear cat gasket looks smaller than the front cat gasket.

The front 06059 is good. The rear I use is 06078. The other number may work, not sure.

Default Headers Installed Today

Lexus of Clearwater installed the headers today. All went well. I was reffered to them by a fellow club member with a show quality IS300. They are very courteus and professional. I printed Lee's Install Notes (Thanks Lee!) for the tech (Mark) to review. He was happy to have some insight specific to S&S. He has done some very nice work on some other club members rides. I can't pick it up until Monday 4-24-06. As you can imagine, I am very anxious to get it back. I will share the results ASAP!

Glad to hear it. You are going to love the additional torque.

Default WOW, Every Gear Is Alive

S&S headers installed (finally):

I am very pleased with the noticeable increase in torque. The throttle now delivers speed with great precision and noticeable responsiveness. I can truly feel the overall improvement in acceleration in every gear.

The install procedure went well. A total of 10 hours labor and a new Oxygen Sensor completed the task. According to the tech (Mark)... the passenger side Oxygen Sensor has a longer wire harness than the driver’s side. So to overcome the driver’s side harness being to short, we put a new passenger side Oxygen Sensor on the driver’s side and it reached without being streched. There was one small exhaust leak, it was identified and eliminated. Mark @ Lexus-of -Clearwater did a fantastic job. He kept me informed and provided very personalized service. I would highly recommend Lexus-of-Clearwater.

Dyno next week! I will post the results soon.

This is great feedback for comparison with the 5 GS400's that just had headers installed this month up here in NorCal. I would say my comments are pretty much similar. Great response off the line, great throttle respopnse at low or high speeds. Great pulling power at any speed and across the power band.

I think the combination of SRT intake and the headers is a good balance of overall breathing in and out.

I didn't catch if you did a "Before" dyno run prior to your header install?

Also throw in a couple hundred miles drive time just so the factory ECU will have a chance to optimize the tuning with the header addition.

These are the exact results that I was hoping for. I specified 1.50" primaries specifically to keep the low and mid RPM power and driveability up. Initially I was hoping to not loose any mid to low RPM power while increasing top end. In actuality the small camshafts limit the peak power potential. The headers really pick up the low and mid range POWER and RESPONSE and that is where most driving occurs and is critical to an enjoyable improvement. Trust me, getting this driveability is better than more top end.

I did do a Dyno with Blitz Cat-Back & SRT Intake,
"'before" headers. So we will get a good variance.
