Yea a new sensor was $150.00
Labor was $116.00 per hour (Lexus-of-Orlando is $135.00 per hour). I know everyone's first thought is GASP! That's alot!!! There are some things to consider:
I had the headers for over 3 weeks and could not get anyone to put them on.
I had 4 different local shops that said they would do it, but none of them came through.
I trust that the Lexus-Dealer knows my car better than any of the others I considered (none had ever worked on an SC430 before).
The dealer gave me a courtesy car (2006 IS250 Nice Car) for the weekend (4 days) saving me about $300.00 on a (non lexus) rental-car.
So all in all I am happy to have them installed.
Although the TransAm that I smoked last night was not as happy as me.
When do you get yours installed? Your gonna luv it!

you definently should have let me known sooner about that cost man. I got a lexus tech down here that would have done the labor for alot cheaper. I thought it was going to take 4 hours of labor. If that was the case they just pay the $500 for installation, but 10 hours is rediculous. I think they went by the book price. IE every job they do at the dealership there is already a set amount of hours assigned to it. Even though the job may have taken less time they still charge you the time designated for the job. Just trying to save CL members some $.

The headers really pick up the low and mid range POWER and RESPONSE and that is where most driving occurs and is critical to an enjoyable improvement. Trust me, getting this driveability is better than more top end.
Thanks for your involement in getting these to market!!! They rock. The SC had always felt underpowered in 1st and 2nd gear. Now it Rips in every gear. The sound is a very nice quiet rumble until you gun it, then it roars like a race-car. I agree that low end power is better than high end speed. I have only had it up to 140mph once on the road, 150mph on the Dyno. We live in a 0 to 60 world, why not enjoy it.

No doubt they charged book. I am OK with it because it's behind me now. So are yours on yet?

Wow Billy, 10x $116 an hour=a ton of cash for headers, but as you stated nobody else was willing or able. Still 10 hours is a bit longer than it should take. Did they charge you book time for manifolds or just whatever time it took to complete the install?

i as well went with s and s headers...all went well the only problem i ran into was the driver side o2 senor wasnt being long enough so i just cantact a lexus dealership [close freinds of] i brought it in to them and they covered me. havnt yet put the car on a dyno but soon enough i will. once that happens i will post.
such a big difference
along with the blitz realize TT
how would you go about getting rid of the third cat?... would you just gut the cat? or replace it with a pipe? i was thinking about it was well but since the 2 cat by the headers have o2 senors b4 and after so i didnt want to deal with that situation.
yeah i totally agree 2 is enough but theres 3.
