[QUOTE=aquanuke]Hows this done do you think. I presume its just cut out at a body shop and then a 2 little chrome bars over the top with some mesh behind.

Or do you think its a part you can buy from a Mercedes dealer.

it will be a very expensive mod considering how much it will reduce your car's resale value.

well if you get the wald fender, it's replacement so you can always put the stock ones back

forget the fenders. anyone know what kind of wheels are on the first silver sc? i've recently bought a new silver 05 and am dying to match wheels. so far, the wald portofino and these have caught my eye.

edit: just barely made out the volk on the wheels and went to the ray's site. nice.

Looks like crap . If you want a MB buy one. Lexus is a better car all around.

I find the MB vents a bit too busy for the look of the rest of the car but that said I think the SC430 would look nice with a simple vent like that seen on the Aston Martins. I have even wondered about a hood scoop reminenscent of the old British sport cars as MG.

I say if it's not functional, don't do it. Those things remind me of the "fake" (non-functional) scoops and vents that were on `60s and `70s era cars. They were added-on so that the car would resemble a GT car. In my opinion, the SC is too good looking (and expensive) a car for those type of "gimmicks".
