Default 06 with Dunlop SP Sport 01 DSST

My understanding is that the '06 SC 430 is coming with Dunlop SP Sport 01 DSST as standard. I bought the snow tire equivalent and have been relatively pleased. Does anyone on the forum have any experience with these? I will be replacing the Bridgestones in the spring and if these Dunlops are getting decent reviews than I may go that route.
Thanks for any input.

my '03 came w/ the Dunlop SP5000 DSST.

22k miles later, can you believe it ? I still have them on..
But I'm paying the price, though.

they are getting pretty bald and as the tire wears down, the road noise becomes
more evident over every little bitty crack on the street/highway.

when I was breaking them in the first 10-15k miles, the grip was very good and it handled in the wet very well. The treads had a unique utlra performance design to prevent the car to hydroplane. If the tires saw smooth surfaces over a long stretch or a newly paved street/highway, the comfort ride felt smooth like butter.

But after 15K miles, signs of wear and tear start to unfold on these tires (depending on how aggressive you drive).

I've had Michelins on previous model cars and found them to be better performance tires.
There's several threads here that go into detail the specific tires recommended for the SC430.

I'm just waiting to see how much more the Dunlop will last before I get a new set of tires.
Dunlop will not be these ones for me.

thanks...teeman3

I just replaced the Bridgestones with the Dunlop 5000's RFT. They are dramatically better than the Bridgestones. Less tramlining so that on uneven pavement the car is not so twitchy. Still just as hard over bumps but very much worth the change.
