Have you got a bodykit KevsSC ?

I know my Wald kit is very low as is. Would love to know the ideal setting for that kit and speed bumps.

I plan to take it whifbitz.co.uk before the summer to have the Teins installed. I doubt very much if they have installed on an SC before and its a good couple of hours drive for me. Plus I wont get to see the packaging/instructions before hand.

So really want to get it right before I leave the shop!

Aquanuke I have no bodykit yet. If I were to put a Wald kit on the sides and front would be around 1-2 inches from touching the ground. Right now the only problem I have with the Teins being on the lowest setting is when I hit a pothole, I bottom the shock out or somthing. I took of the front wind deflectors because that was the only thing that was hitting the speedbumps.

I think you might be fine with the Teins being on 2 inches from the lowest setting. I think you will clear the speedbumps with the kit on. If its too high which I doubt, just lower the perch around half an inch. The lowering part is easy, its the raising of the spring thats hard.

Also I am running stock OEM wheels. If I were too put on 19's I probably would rip out my front fenders.

How easy is it to change the settings? Is this something I can tackle on my own after I get back from the shop?
What is the process? Wow I wonder if I could do the install myself also?

A graphic tutorial from Lee would be great since so many of us have these and so many more of us are getting them?

The shop that did my install said the fronts were easy to put in, but the rears were a Pain in the Butt. If you guys are going to have a shop install it, I would remove most of the trunk carpet yourself. Some shops break things like clips and stuff.
ALl thats needed to lower or raise the car once the suspension is in, is to just take off the wheels and grab those Tein wrenches and start turning up or down.

man...I am still waiting for my tein cs from Todd...

Just wonder how difficult it is to remove these trunk carpets.
I have no clue how to remove them in order.
I'll have the shop do the job for me because I also need to have the EDFC installed as well.
My friend suggests I should have the stereo shop install the EDFC.

The only thing I can do it myself is probably the 06 tail lights upgrade... thanks to Lee.
I am thinking doing the ecu at the same time when the shop removes the trunk carpets .

Hey Talwang,

When did you order your Tein cs from Todd. I ordered mine on the 17th of January he told me about 4 weeks. I am just wondering how long I will really have to wait.

I ordered it on Dec 30,2005.
Todd said it would take 5 weeks to receive it ,so I think I should have it sometime next week.

I did email him today, but no reply so far.

it's very easy to adjust, it's explained in the manual that you can d/l from the tein site. as long as you have a jack (and stands) it's all good.

and yes, the rear is a total pain coz' you have to take out ALL carpets, and all panels inside the trunk to gain access

Let me know what he says. That will give me some idea of when I will receive mine since I ordered about 2 weeks after you did

Thanks,

but the edfc only adjusts the stiffness. you still need to adjust the height yourself

when i talked about taking out stuff in the trunk that's for install. on most other lexus you don't have to do that
