performance upgrades
Are there any underdrive pulleys available for an sc 430? Will an underdrive pulley for a V8 tundra 4.7L work? Does anybody have the part # for the downpipe and the high flow cat from Tom's. Thanks

Not sure if the underdrive pulley from the Tundra will work. But considering all of the electronic gadgets on the SC I would not chance it. The Tundra itself already dims the lights slightly at night while idling, granted the alternator in the SC is higher amperage and those Tundra owners with higher 130amp alternators (not me) say that nothing dims with this setup. But the SC has more in terms of power requirements vs the Tundra. That said it is a solid and well built setup and I would be curious on this as well. If I had to guesstimate on the pulley improvement on my Tundra I would say around 10hp. Headers and gearing made the largest improvement on my Tundra which is why I am installing them in the SC.

If you are interested in performance mods then I would rank them:
1) Torque converter
2) Rear end 3.76/3.92 with LSD
3) SRT intake/ecu
The above are proven mods with years of service through many members myself included
Other options:
1) Headers which I am currently working on. Not sure of the 430 improvements yet but we shall soon see. Stock manifolds are very restrictive.
2) Y-Pipe(downpipe) Save your money and visit your local exhausts shop to fabricate the same thing for $150-$200. May give up to 10hp. Some say more like 5hp. FI folks realize the benefit the most from this mod. I have a Y-Pipe on my Tundra V8 and noticed very little in terms of improvement.
3) Other intakes. Have not seen dynos for these. Usually see a drop on the low end and a perhaps 15hp on top end but that would be stretching it in my book. An AFC would really help out an intake which explains why SRT gets such good numbers.
4) Catback system. Very little improvement in performance for N/A cars. Get this only for looks and sound.
