Nav and Bluetooth Overides

Nav and Bluetooth Overides
The GX forum has overides for the Nav system to allow use while the vehicle is moving. Has anyone been able to do these for the SC430? I have a note off to Coastaltech

to see if they have finished their cable/connectors to overide the Bluetooth phone and Nav system lockouts while moving but no response yet. Any info others have on this would be appreciated.

all 02-06 nav have the code to unlock the nav, but you need to do it every time you start the car. i am doing that, i don't think it's troublesome. and i think 05+ the system is changed so the code is different

I want to run a switch from the speedometer to cut the speed wire to the navi. So when I do need to over ride it I can over ride it real quick then turn the speed sensor back on. Anyone know what color wire to tap?

I received a note back from Coastaltech this morning and they said they would have their Lexus adapters out in a couple weeks. By far that is the cleanest fix. In the meantime I'll have to try the workaround codes to see if they work on the SC430. (its the wife's car so I don't get to drive it that much)

I did find and try the maintenance menu override located in one of the other model threads and it works fine in our 2006 SC430. It enables Destination inputs while the vehicle is in motion. It can be done while the vehicle is in motion and it resets whenever the vehicle is turned off. The sequence is:
0. Touch "I agree" graphic on touchscreen after vehicle is started
1. Press Menu button on Dash
2. Touch Volume graphic on the touchscreen
3. Touch the speaker graphic on upper left of touchscreen
4. Touch lower left corner of touchscreen
5. Touch speaker graphic again
6. Touch lower left corner of touchscreen again
7. Maintenance menu will appear
8. Touch and hold Override until you hear a beep.
This only affects the Nav system and does not affect the Bluetooth touchscreen dialing limitations.

for 02 it's different. you click on menu, and then go to the system page. and then click on the dvd icon i believe
and you have to click the left top left bottom left top left bottom right bottom
to get to the override page. something like that. just play around to find the menu. the 02 has prev gen nav
but then again, you are in UK so i am not sure if it's a bit different again
