Default Silver Belle

Just purchased No. 97. Red interior certainly draws crowds. My first Lexus, rides beautifully. Does anyone else own one of these? I have a question about some equipment.

And, do you over-inflate tires to get that darn tire pressure warning light to go off??

None. You'll be the first one.

Still.. your car rides too high, wheel gaps are too big, wheels are too small, tail lights are outdated, exhaulst and intake don't sound like a V8..
You'll eventually break your pocket staying here for too long.

My tire warning light is on if the tire pressure is below 27.

I dont think that light is supose to come on until your tires are around 25psi or lower which would mean that your way under the psi needed.

i believe the tire sensor is anything below 27 or 28psi, but not 100%

and about euquipment, i think you can just ask, i don't think there is anything special

My service guy once told me that the warning goes off if the pressure gets too low OR the difference in pressure between any tire and the rest is more than 7 psi.

The equipment I'm curious about is the owner's manual, which I don't have yet. (Supposed to get it in the mail from previous owner). I am wondering if it's different than stock, NM or color combo? It has a special car cover and engine cover (kind of silly) but I guess I need to find another Silver Belle owner to find out.

Is there any way to get original window stickers? I know MBZ used to have a way to acquire a copy for your car.

Thanks!

You can get a free owners manual from the lexus owners website - owners.lexus.com

Jut put in your VIN. I found this out after I paid $23 for a manual from the dealer.

Other than color and engine cover, car is the same. My first Lexus. Have to admit, I had to get used to the looks of it, but it's growing on me. Driving it is unbelievably quiet and powerful, stereo, hard top/convertible, Lexus quality...

Had SL500 Mercedes before, and though I miss the looks, they rode like tanks!

I'd be interested to know which SL500 he had, the current one or the previous generation. The current one has a firmer ride than the previous.

Both versions, 1999 SL500 Panorama Sport, (R129), rode harsh but very fast; and 2003 SL500 (R230), beautiful car but harsh ride.

Is there a way to have ALL the windows down in the SC430? I notice the back windows go up just before the top finishes closing...

Tire pressure system fixed, thanks for the feedback. One tire was low, filled it, and light went out.
Does anyone have any recommendations on wider tires? I'd like to put some serious rims on it for now.

Thanks
