I am having a problem the navigation never takes toll roads I was looking all over for a setting that tries to take highways or tolls. I know in the honda/acura system they have a setting for this. I am tired of going local routes when I should have taken highway I live near the turnpike which is a toll highway and I want to take it as much as possible

Tony, even on the oldest 98+ version nav there is an 'avoid toll roads' yes/no option in the application just after you enter your destination. I suspect it's still there somewhere set to 'yes' on yours

After you enter a destination, click the "Change Route" button, then click "Route Preferences" and there's an on/off setting for "Avoid Toll Roads". Turn this setting off--it will remember this setting the next time you enter a new destination

When you have inputted your destination, your next screen should display "Route Preference". It is here you can enable or disable the TOLL route conditions.

here in the uk we are only up to version 2, would that update the software

I had this happen shortly after I got my 2002. Every time I would get on a toll road, the NAV system would scream at me to get off. Who needs a wife...?
