Default How is the wind noise in your car?

I know the SC430 is a convertable, but I seem to be hearing alot of windnoise especially when I get to around 70-90 mph on the highway. I cant really locate where its coming from but I think its the rear windows, those little half window type things. To my it seems louder than it should be, but recently I took it into the dealer they said it was normal. Anyone else?

Tony,
Have you tried raising the two front side windows at speed?

I had the same wind noise problem when I bought mine about a year and a half ago. It drove me crazy since everything else was so quiet and it was right about ear level. I know I am more particular when it comes to squeeks and wind noise than most people, but I couldn't get used to it.

The Lexus dealer tried some adjustments to the driver's window and I think to the door hinge also if that's possible. It helped ever so slightly, but I also thought it was the molding above the small rear side window. Lexus also told me it was normal which I didn't believe. I then took it to my regular non-Lexus mechanic who found that the end of the rubber molding where the roof splits in two meets the rear window (it makes a jog at the end) was a little loose. He used some silicon and tape to hold it in place until the silicon dried. That fixed it.

I get so mad when Lexus dealers say something is normal, and my regular mechanic fixes it in less than 15 minutes. Guess that's why I don't take my car to Lexus.

Ahhhh, well with the top up, my car is super quiet. Not a peep. Much more refined than my GS was.

Just to chime in and add my $.02....

My sc is VERY quiet. Top up it is great and most people can't believe I am calling from the car. Top down, I can hold a regular level of conversation up to about 80mph... (thats with the side windows up).

Iam not sure if its just me but going 80+ it starts getting noisy and if its windy outside then you can hear it howling.

I schedualed an appointment for next week, hopefully they can figure it out, but I told them last service visit and they didnt do anything
