Default Supra or BBK upgrade still ok with stocks?

I was just wondering if you upgrade to supra or BBK upgrade in the front do the stocks no longer fit? Or is there an aftermarket brake upgrade kit that allows for the stocks to fit?

Hey Tony
If you are referring to the stock wheels, then no they will not fit.
The Supra TT brakes require alot of room. More so than other larger brake options out there.

correct, not even close to fit. the supra tt brakes are actually VERY big, it's probably one of the biggest setup out there.

for stock wheels? honestly i don't know of any. the stoptech 13" kit might be ok, but i don't see the point. does rotora have one?

also, for supra brakes, make sure it's the supra tt units. the normal supra brakes is the same as our stock ones

well the reason for stocks still fitting is just in case anything happens and u need to ride on a stock rim or something. Also what is the big difference between our stock calipers and the supra TT ones?

Higher clampling force from the 4 pistons in the caliper as well as the larger rotor. Braking is much better vs. stock. More controllable and less fade. I will have my front TT kit for sale in a month or so in case your interested.

the stock caliper is 2 pots only, and the outter pads are only pulled together by spring wires. the supra tt is 4 pots setup, much stronger and more pressure. it's better for brake fades too

if you have bbk? get another spare the supra tt spare (that will fit under your spare tire space) will clear the supra unit, but that's it. all other 14" setup, you need to get some spare wheel.

that's why i have a g35 18"

i have another spare one, anyone interested?

hey lee, did you happen to upgrade the 13" rotors also to slotted/cross drilled? Also did those SS lines help alot? I am anxious to get a brake upgrade soon, since I know rims will be coming soon and its nice to see a nice brake setup behind some big wheels.

Hey Tony
Yes the rotors are slotted/drilled.
Not sure if the lines helped out alot as I did it all at the same time as the calipers which already have a nicer pedal feel. I am sure it helped though.
Now on some of my other cars I could notice a difference. A bit harder pedal which =more controlled braking.

if you are doing brakes anyway, just spend the extra 100 bucks to get the ss lines! you have to bleed the system anyway

Very true, like Henry said bleed those lines well and use some quality fluid.
I should have those brakes available in about a month. I would sooner but I spent my March car money on the LSD/3.76 diff instead of the brackets, hats, rotors.
