hmm make sure if your using an air gun that you dont turn the torque too high or you might strip the bolts. Also your probally going to need a crow bar or some type of L shaped bar to get those rubber bands off the exhaust hangers. Took me about 2 hours because I couldnt figure how to get them off at first

well I dont have coil overs, you should ask lee. I have worked on toyota suspension before and if your going to do a complete swap it should be quite easy. Hmm after you take off the wheels there should be 2 bolts you need to take off underneath as well as a speed sensor and then the upper mount bolts and you should be able to drop it right off. To me suspension isnt that bad just make sure you dont rip off the speed sensor.

Well I started on the suspension tonight and i must say it is a lot harder than i remember to do a simple strut swap.
i am contemplating taking it to Luxury Motorworks and letting them do it!
i am having trouble getting the front struts out of the car. but thanks to SC430_OZ ill try to do it the way that they did in that article and hopefully ill have more luck.
ill try to make more progress tomorrow

I haven't done the work myself, but......It looks like you have to crack the lower ball joint so that you can swing the brake disc and caliper out of the way?
The rear look a little easier, other than having to pull apart the boot (trunk) lining. Will consider cutting some access holes so that adjustment down the track is easier.
Curious to see how your JIC's go, I too am waiting for a set of TEIN CS, but now it looks like it's going to be summer (northern hemisphere) when they will be available.
Good luck
Andrew

It was the upper ball joint that are giving me the most trouble. i have the ball joint seperator tool but after pounding the hell out of it it will not split.
ill give the bottom a go before i give up and call the pros!!

There is no need to touch the upper joint. That will only prolog things.
The lower ball joint is held on with 2 bolts-14mm I believe. Remove those and swing the disc away. This will allow the stru to be dropped and moved out. Very simple.
Rear is a bit more involved. About 3 times the work as the fronts as the rear upholstery needs to be removed/moved to gain access.
Be very careful of the wheel sensors on each wheel. They are fragile and $$$ to replace. List for 200 each.
Best of luck.
Where do you live?

Thanks for posting that info.
did they resolve your problem?
i was planning on talking to them about the supercharger when i get all my appearance mods done.
i do want the luxlink when they get them.
i too am 60 miles from them and i definately would not want to make return trips to fix problems
i will give them my business and see how they are for me.

don't want to bring this too OT
- they didn't fix my problems, i got them fixed elsewhere. can't trust them
- they were never able to figure out the door panel problem
- the luxlink is good stuff, i like it a lot. but i doubt i would let them install it on my car (or touch my car for that matter)
- why don't you buy pearlpower some lunch instead
- and maybe lee can figure out all the programming to get the luxlink thing done for a lot cheaper

like i said in the previous post, all other stuff fixed by another more experienced shop (basically everything was installed wrong), and for the door panel lmw tried but couldn't fix anything, and later on one lexus master tech / dianostic specialist shuffle things around and created a gap between the door panel and the dash again.
