Default how long do tire pressure sensors last?

So far we have had to take our sc-430 in three times to have a different tire pressure sensors
replaced, fortunately all under warranty. I have been waiting and wondering when the 4th sensor was finally going to fail and this morning when it was 18 degrees F the "tire pressure light" came on.

Just curious....I am guessing that the batteries must be running low on power (2002 model) and perhaps this very cold morning did the last one in??

Is this a problem all 2002 owners are facing...basically enough tire sensor battery power to last about 4 years?

I have a 2002. One was replaced 1 year ago and the other 1 month ago. They will be pricey after warranty so try to get the old ones from the dealer as they are replaced. If you search the Corvette forums you can find how to dig out the epoxy and replace the batteries.

yup they are supose to last abot 3 years for the battery's I am guessing the cold weather just weakens the voltage so you see the light come on sooner.
