Default XPEL front end protection in Greenville, SC

FYI,

I learned about the front end protection options (Clear Bra and XPEL products, 3M) from this website and looked into it on the web. It is very popular on the West Coast but has not really caught on here in the southeast. I found an installer in the Greenville, SC area (Steve Payne) who is a factory trained XPEL installer. He did my silver SC 430 today and it looks great. It took him about 4.5 hours and he really did a nice job, I cannot even tell at certain angles up close it is there much less further away. These clear bra options are much cheaper in the long run rather than re-painting a car or much less replacing the headlights. I here they can be pretty expensive. Club Lexus is a great website and I would have never known about something like this if it was not for owner sharing their experiences. Thanks

I never knew about this xpel stuff either until I read it here on CL, I am currently looking for a place to install some on my GS400, found 1 place but I'm not sure if 749.00 is a reasonable price . I called aerotect today, (1 of the vendors on CL) and they want 250.00 for the kit which is'nt bad, and they mentioned that for my car I should be able to do it cuz its not hard. I still have to think about it though.

For headlight and foglight, I actually used LampGuard instead.

Rominl is right.
You should have it professionally installed.
I tried to do it myself, but I failed.

I thought about a self install since I have put on window tint before and the process is very similar. The kit is 275 from x-pel but if you make a mistake now you are in it for 550.00 if you don't make another mistake. The professional install was not much more than that and since I am not going into business putting these on and it is a one time thing. Less headache, let the pro do it. IMHO

actually this is quite a bit harder than tint, coz' of all the curves and such. by comparison tint is just a breeze

I asked a few people, and they said atleast 30 days after the fresh paint has been put on.

What is the condition of your GS bumper? just a few pits? You don't want to put the bumper one on if you have alot of pits.

I bought a kit like the lamp guard (for my GS0it came with head lamp and fog 40mil piece. The fog lamps were easy but the GS big round head light was a Bit*****h. The curve is extreme and I messed up on the first head lamp. But X-pel has some really great pics and free videos showing how to do bumpers, mirrors and they happen to have a GS head light being done.
I ordered a replacement head lamp one ( I think x-pel charged me $20 for one w/ the park lights)
Unless your adventureous or a DIYer I would have shop do the headlights. It is doable but a challenge
