I've used Costco extensively in the past on other cars, but a bit concerned about SC430 tire installation (removing runflats, installing Michelin Pilot A/S). Anyone with any experience/input?

First of all I'd like to state that I have never bought tires from Costco. Generally Costco provides good prices for no service. This may not be what you want for tires. I have had a friend that took over 4 hours to replace a defective tire. You have to evaluate the amount of savings versus the convienence of the service when you compare Costco to a regular tire shop.

I purchased Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's from Costco twice (one set to replace the runflats, and again when those wore out). I have never had a problem with them. The first time when I got them they broke one of the tire pressure sensors but then they paid to replace it. They told me from now on to remind them that the sensor is located in the valve stem. I haven't had an issue since then, from my second set to the many times that I've had my tires rotated and balanced there. I have had one tire replaced under their road hazzard warranty and only paid the prorated amount of the tire used based on tread remaining (it ended up being ~$55). They only thing I don't like is that you can't make an appointment with them...you have to call before you think you have time to come in, and ask them how long the wait is.
bt430> The tires are special order. You can order them in person at the tire shop or online and have them sent to the closest costco to you.

A regular Tire dealer /shop may not always be as convienent, it's a matter of timing.
