Has anyone used or currently using the Weapon R Dragon Intake?
It comes in three colorful flavors: red, blue and black (air filters) w/ polished chrome tubing.
I'm thinking about getting one. thanks for your input.

I only have experience with it on my RX300 and I can't recommend it. The only good thing that came out of it was the tube itself, but the filter just didn't work out and it was better with my stock air box. If you want a good filter, take a look at the Blitz SUS.
I am eyeing the Secret Intake from Weapon-R as a future replacement, as that has a useful entry that I can use for my ram air setup.

yep, Injen or SRT for sure. the Weapon R Drago intake just looked like a good price to buy.

I only had one experience with WR for my GS4. The unit they sent was a 2 piece unit with both pieces already connected with a rubber sleeve. Once I removed this to check things out I noticed that both sides were cut with a HACK SAW! Of course not straight. When I PM'd one of the employees/supervisors that used to visit CL he admitted they ran out of the proper tubing and substituted that one.
Horrible attention to detail not to mention I do not care much for that filter. They have since moved on to a 1piece unit.

Tee,
why ? Can't you not wait for our intake dynoday results coming in 8 days? Whatever works well on these 4 gs cars being tested will yield relatively the same results for the SC430.
You will also get an advanced disclosure on what appears to be some very interesting results.
There may be a better alternative than SRT, K&N, Injen or Weapon R. The jury is still out, but we will know a lot more SOON !
Let's do lunch and I will enlighten you on what's been going on in the past 3 weeks of testing, of which final results will be known next week

Are GS430 intakes getting tested or just GS400? Injen does not make an intake for GS400's the last I checked when I had mine. Also the only true way of comparing intakes or other mods is to use the same car/dyno/weather,etc. Not sure if that is planned at the dyno event.
Also for those in California keep in mind that if a cop checks your car and finds an intake which is not carb approved, they can sieze the car.
Of course I have yet to head of an CL member that ran into this. Good thing the headers are tough to see.

Lee,
nope all gs400 unfortunately. I'm just saying there should be some relative expectation that what we see on our testing should be reflected similarily on a 430 motor. It won't be as conclusive as testing a real 430, but I'm just saying our results should be a good indicator of what to expect.
BTW, do you know if SRT "tunes" their ECU differently for the 430 vs the 400 ? We know the intake PNs offered on an SC will be different from a GS , but that is because of the engine compartment configuration, correct?
I guess I should ask if a GS400 and GS430 have different programmed ECU modules from SRT.

K thanks.
Good to know and what I would expect from them.
The "other" brand intake I am eluding to Tee, is a "hybrid". We were not doing testing on it specifically. Only by discovery did we see potentially good results on the dyno. I say "potentially" because we don't curently have conclusive evidence, since it was not a part of our original testing.
It will probably bring some curious thoughts as a possible sleeper set up, but we would need to pursue more testing to prove that out.
No more $$ now to pursue it. Between the 4 cars we will have done 12 sets of 3 pulls in the past 4 weeks, including individual header testing.

dang....you guys sure can read me like a book.
i'll wait for the results anyways regardless if the devices are brand or hybrid.
I'm in no rush to get an intake anytime soon. When it's time, then I'll know what to buy.
