It sure was a rush. It took 3 tries just to get everyone to push the button on cue. It's not as easy as it looks but we did what seemed to be difficult at first. Pearlpower and GSXOTIC were the directors in charge of this synchronized top down operation. It would have been easier if we all had the auto Lux Link and all we had to do was just stand aside and pressed the remote key button.

the short video turned out really nice, mmaloy.
When I first saw a red SC430 at the dealership, it didn't look appealing cause red either goes on a Vette, Viper or Ferrari. But after careful inpection and seeing mmaloy's red "747" jet sounding tailpipes wrapped w/ some nice rims and the windows tinted, it looks really hot. The personal touches to the car brings out the character, flair and dynamic appearance overall.
Great Job. I see red on an SC430 differently now, in an appealing way.

Now if Lexus can come up w/ something that you can drop the top going at 30-60mph, that would be an unbelievable feat.

But you can only drop the top going only at 1mph (barely 2mph) for now.
I do this coming out of a parking space, just creeping at 1mph for showing off while the car is in motion.

It was great to finally meet the people behind the screen names.

I thought it was cool having a convoy of three sc430s till the 11-car cruise from SLO to Morro Bay . . . WOW!

Thanks to all of the organizers and attendees for a memorable event!

I'm really looking forward to the BOS and Exact meets.

dude tee.... you do NOT want that.... you want a parachute when going 30-60mph? imagine the force on the top,it would be blown away in no time... grand 10k repair easy. there is no reason for you to drop or close the top in the middle of driving anyway man!

yup, that's some ideas that mark, me and lee have been thinking about weeks before the meet. we put it into reality and the result was just totally crazy. we joked and said lexus should use our video for commercial

btw, there aer going to be more videos from mark on the cruise and also another angle for the top down. keep your eyes open guys

oh and mike, you can talk to lee about hosting the videos in full size! i want to get a copy of that video man

Yep, ROMINL. it would be crazy but just a thought, though. the spring action would have to be lightning speed, BOOM BOOM in order to resist any wind deflection at all.

take a look at this pic compared to our meet. they may have numbers, but I don't think they parked/aligned their cars in order and came up w/ pics and video like we did.

haha yeah, i wonder if we can ever pull off a sc430 meet like that. they were more than doubled our cars. japanese are crazy i thought about meet in LV actually, but from what i notice, i don't see many owners in nevada or arizona, and if we have it in LV, we might lose more norcal people.

and about the roof. doing it fast? sure, just imagine a 300lb guy suddenly jump up and down in your trunk. that's how it'd feel like

I hope you guys like the video. Personally, I was not very satisified with them but given the fact i was driving at the same time while trying to navigate the camcorder I think these are acceptable. Also apologized for the chinese music in the background. I really wanted to capture every car in action on the way to Morro Bay but we did not plan well enough to have everyone on the fast lane so I can catch from a better angle. Anyways.... hopefully next time my wife can join me and I can concentrate on shooting!
