I have posted my trial and tribultations on getting my Car Key/Remote to open and close doors remotely! I needed to update you all so hopefully you will not have to go through all the BS trying to find a solution Why my SC430 continues to have issues locking and or unlocking via the key!
After spending much $$ with Lexus and the aggravation of troubleshooting the gremlins in my car by replacing multiple parts, actuators, batteries, new door switches, you get the idea, I still can find the culprit.
So here is the update, This is for real, only on Saturdays, if I leave my Car outside my House in the driveway- I later go to get in my car, when hitting the unlock and or lock position on the remote, nothing happens, then dome light comes on and will not cycle off!
I then pull the car back in the Garage and then wait apron 22-24 hours and then the key starts working This has happened 6 times without fail.
So back to the drawing board! After researching on the internet, Lexus and others Tesla, Cadillac have all experienced that their keys stop unlocking their cars! The Frequency that is used on our Lexus Sc430 is used on many other devices, the list is long, interference is what has to Jaming the Lexus remote system. https://fccid.io/HYQ12BBK. is the link to my key from the FCC.
Heres the dig on the frequency from the FCC.
314 MHz
FCC ID Applications By Frequency.
ITU # 9 - UHF Ultra high frequency – TV broadcasts, microwave ovens, mobile phones, wireless LAN, Bluetooth, GPS, and Two-Way Radios (300-3000 MHz)
Also, I have an Airport 1.6 miles from my home the way the Crow Fly"s~~Who know's what they are broadcasting!
Inside my house I can see 35 WLAN networks..............these wireless networks are all around my home, Not sure but possible cause?
So at this point, without hiring somebody It would be like finding a needle in a Haystack!!!!!! I have never had the keyless entry fail anywhere else except my home, outside. Signal never gets jammed every other day since the car gets pulled out and into my Garage every other day!
Moto of the story....You can't make this stuff up! Going forward, time to just live with it!
Sorry for the long post~~~I just hate to see someone spend way to much time trying to figure this gremlin out!
Your explanation sounds logical. Over the past year or so, I recall two other posts similar to your. The first post was about a remote not working at the guys work place parking lot, but everywhere else. The second one was about a Lexus RFID tag the dealer stuck on the mirror, so they know when you arrived. It turns out the RFID interfered with the remote. I don't know where I read the posts, but I think they were on CL somewhere.
My turn to acquire a second blade key with remote. Currently there’s a vendor on eBay (mentioned in post #158 and #160) named 1010Keys. They offer two blade keys w/remotes for ~$42 OR one blade key w/remote and a program device for ~$55. They appear to be a pretty efficient vendor with a 99.5 customer rating.
I’m leaning toward their programming device. Has as anyone used this seller recently? If so, what was your experience? Caveats, other suggestions?
I bought from this seller last year. The key was cut perfectly from the picture I sent. I didn't use the programming device. I programmed using opening/closing door method .

Thanks, good to know, so (obviously) their remote is completely compatible with the SC430 platform.
Did you have someone narrate the door method for you? With my ADHD ;-) I’m not sure I could ever read and execute the instructions solo.
Good to know. When you say “exceeded the limit”, do you mean number of tries programming or number of keys?
Thx
its the number of keys. I think the limit is four.
like it was said before...using the camera function on your phone, place it in video, then slowly read the instructions, with a pause between each step...now you can attempt the programming procedure.
First your link in the OP did not work. So not sure where you were going with it.
Lexus allows a total of four keys. When new, the car came with the following programmed keys: 2 master keys, one valet and one “wallet” flat key. Programming a fifth key will kick out the first key programmed (FIFO). You should not assume the order programmed. That’s why and how the techstream software makes it easy.
