Anyone have success in installing a rear camera?

I saw a posting on another SC430 forum that claims that a "high end" stereo shop in Louisville was able to install a rear camera that shows on the existing NAV in a 2006. Supposedly also has a switch so you can keep it on while you're driving down the road.
Same poster also claims that this same shop has integrated his XM radio so that it is operated by the steering wheel controls and text shows up on the radio screen AND has fully integrated his IPOD.
Seems too good to be true based on previous posters on here.

I found a sloution that looks good. I will have to get the rest of the info. It is about $150. It has a camera that is part of the back license plate holder. It gets power from where the light bulb for the plate does. In the front you have a small color wireless screen. I saw it mounted into the visor. Looks cool very easy and good bang for the price. I will get more info I just found it 2 days ago.

Good catch Billy! Ideally, I'd like to be able to use the oem nav screen as well as the screen automatically switching to the reverse camera view when I'm in reverse (tapping a wire?). Someone buy it & be a lab rat for the rest of us!

yep
I see that on the site. I was under the impression the screen was battery operated. I bet you could have it hard wired to the fuse box for a few bucks. I may try one and see how it goes. For $150 it is worth a shot. If it doesn't work well in my sc I will put it in my wife's truck. She needs all the help parking she can get even with bars on the car!

i think it shouldnt be too hard to wire a reverse camera from another lexus into our navi screen. prob need a relay and tap into the 6 pin harness behind the navi screen.
