Question Final Checklist

Thanks for the info everyone!!!
I had the calipers painted red (they were black). I am ready for final purchases.
Check list:
Do I use the SC430 Pins from my car (long bolts, 2 on each side) or do I need Supra TT OEM Pins?
Can I use 13" rotors, or stay with 12" stock size rotors?
Shuold the rotors be ordered for SC430 or Supra TT?
Should the Pads be ordered for SC430 or Supra TT?
Should the brake lines be ordered for the SC430 or the Supra TT?

I USED THE SUPRA TT BOLTS

Can I use 13" rotors, or stay with 12" stock size rotors?
13"

Shuold the rotors be ordered for SC430 or Supra TT?
YES!

Should the Pads be ordered for SC430 or Supra TT?
YES!

Should the brake lines be ordered for the SC430 or the Supra TT?
I USED TOM's BRAKELINES FOR THE UZZ40, but the SECURE SPIKE of the brake line (don't know what this is called in US language) which attached to the calipers pressure line/flange won't fit (resolved this by rotating to a secure position). So i am unsure if the SUPRA lines are to long or to short for the SC!?

actually to be exact i think the supra rotors are 12.7". definitely make sure you get the rotors and pads for the supra tt, no more sc430 setup

from my understanding the supra lines are too long. you should get the lines for the sc430. for example my ap racing brakes for the gs400, it was designed for supra. when i got the kits, the lines were too long for the gs400, so i used the ss line for gs400 and fit no problem. the sc430 is very similar to the gs, so the same case should apply

also make sure you get rotors and pads for supra TT, the "TT" is important. the normal NA supra they have different brakes i believe

Thanks guys!! Awsome feedback.
My Supra TT calipers did not come with the bolts.
Were they supposed to?
Anyone have Toyota part number for:
The Pin Kit?
Shims & Carrier Kit?
Have I missed anything?

well i think each number stays for 1 item... i can't verify this from invoice at the moment. so you should order the numbers at your local dealer and have an eye on his EPC system...
please note those numbers stand for the european supras. might be different for the US parts...

Default TRD Front Brake Kit Installed on SC430

The TRD (Supra TT) Front-Brakes are finally installed. "Thanks to Lee" and to a fellow Florida CL member, I have completed one of three mods scheduled for this week. Dave, a fellow member and good friend performed the actual install on sunday. It was a good learning experience for me. I will finish them with TRD badging just waiting for the decals. Here are a few pics;

Looks good Billy. I was putting mine through some really hards corners the other day and was satisifed with the stopping abilities. No fade whatsoever, good stuff.

Looks great man. A few questions, if you don't mind:
-Does the TRD kit include the rotors? If not, did you buy those from an authorized Brembo distributor, or are those from Ebay?
-How much for the TRD kit plus the rotors (if separate)?
-How did you cut the heat shield?
-Did you just bleed the brakes normally after installing new lines? I need to bleed my brakes since it's been 3 years (although fluid still looks perfectly clear), and want to make sure there's no special procedure with the separate accumulator pump.

Man, those stock brakes look like a joke, especially with bigger wheels. Take care, and thanks in advance for your help with my questions.

You'll have to search online for the TRD kit - I think they do come with rotors, I think Carson Toyota has them. I did not buy that kit. That kit has different fitments to different toyota and lexus models. Always confirm fitment with seller.

Ebay

-How much for the TRD kit plus the rotors (if separate)?
I did not buy the TRD Kit. I bought the parts to create my own front brake kit. Expect to pay around:
($500 for a pair of New Calipers from Carson Toyota)
($150.00 for a pair of Drilled Slotted Rotors from Ebay)
($100 for a set of 4 Steel Braided Brake Lines from Tirereack)
($70.00 for a set of 4 Brake Pads from Tirereack)
($100.00 for shipping and any extra parts, fluid, etc.)
($920 "more or less" for all parts delivered to your door) Plus labor.

-How did you cut the heat shield?
With a pair of Shears for cutting metal. Dave (2jznat ) made it look easy, he is quite crafty.

-Did you just bleed the brakes normally after installing new lines?
Yes normal bleed procedure.
Thanks for the kind words ELP_JC, 2jznat, Pearlpower & tonydt1g3r. One can find alot of great people and valuble info here at CL. Cheers!!
