I have no doubt that the Blitz A/C filter will perform for the first few months ... but then ... after cleaning it? How would it perform?
Some people only replace the stock filter once 1-2 years (sometimes coz they don;t know that it has to be replaced) ... No replacing (and reusing) the stock filter is often possible. but it will filter less .

Hey guys, talking about replacing the A/C filter, I have one sitting in my garage, and might be a good idea to replace it after 2-1/2 years (but only 7,600 miles). Was waiting for the 10Kmile mark, but maybe the charcoal degrades with time??
Anyway, my question is how to replace it. Owner's manual doesn't say anything, and don't have a factory manual yet. Well, I did, but bought a useless CD one on Ebay (don't bother), so will have to spring for the real deal. I assume it's similar to my GS400, but don't want to break anything without knowing what I'm doing.
Thank you for your assistance.

I have a blitz filter also, umm I dont really notice anything. I think thats good however. If I did notice a smell then the filter wouldnt be working right. I smoke sometimes in my car and theres no trace of it. So I am guessing its working great.
You changed out the filter by opening the glove box. On the top right and left there are two black tabs you can turn these and pull them out. Once you pull them out the glove box drops down more and behind there is a tray with the ac filter you can just pull it out. and thats it.

Once you do it, you can see how simple it is, but the first time it can be a little tricky.
It helps to have a flashlight so you can see the black tabs at the top of the inside of the black glove box. Also, I had to use some pliers, because the tabs have to be turned about a quarter turn, then pulled out (toward the center of the glove box). This is because it is the extended shaft on the tab that prevents the glove box from opening all the way. When you release them and it does open all the way, you can look straight back past the rear part of the glove box and (with the flashlight) see where the filter goes. The whole thing takes about five minutes the first time, if you go slow, and about 90 seconds once you know what you are doing.
Piece o' cake.
