Daizen Bushing Noise?

I had my bushings checked yesterday by Davenport in Dallas, and they're definitely dry - had them regreased. All's quite again. I think this will just be a regular requirement in our climate (hot, cold, wet, then dryyyyy).
I did find some polyurethane bushings from Energy Suspension that have a clip that includes a grease zerk - allows regular greasing. Not as good as the gunk used by Daizen and Energy Suspension (Formula 5), but would keep them quiet. Now I have to check the hole centers, etc on the Lexus bushing clip to see if these will fit. I think Daizen sway bars are 32mm front & 19mm rear. If these look like they'll fit, I'll get some and let you all know how they work out. I did Energy Suspension on my LS and never have any noise and they get greased every time I do oil change...
Plus mine have been on for almost 2.5 years !

That's good to know. The SC430 bushings have a little different design, so I need to fab backing plates for them. Plan to do it tomorrow, and install rears.
Thanks!

I also encountered the same problem with my GS400 and daizen front bushing. I had the squeak everytime i go over bumper roads or if I'm backing/going into my driveway.
I inspected the front bushings and there were spots where the bushing was dry. I regreased them and now I have no more squeaks. But I do have a feeling they'll be back in a few months.

Well, the greasable 19mm Energy Suspension bushings unfortunately are too large (hole centers) to fit on the rears. I did some bracket mod, but couldn't get there. It did give me an idea using the stock bushing clips and drilling them for a grease zerk - may require a little buildup of the thickness on top with a welder to have enough thickness to hold a tap. And I'd have to modify a new set of Daizen bushings to add some channels for grease flow, like the ES ones.
I still haven't tried the front ones yet. Work, work work......

I modified the polyurethane bushings for the rear and installed them yesterday. I drilled and tapped the metal clamp, and installed a grease zerk. Then I drilled a hole in the bushing so the zerk will mate up with it. I'll post a couple of pics.
Next, I'll see if the standard Suspension Systems greasable bushings will fit on the front ones. If not, I'll mod those, too.

Well, no squeaks in the rear, but I just did it Sunday, and everything is newly greased, so the rears are quiet. I'll know more after 5K miles and some dry/rainy cycles.
My fronts are still standard unmodified polyurethane, and I had them regreased (normal grease, not the thick white grease) about 3K miles ago. They are starting to make a little noise after our recent temp cycling and wet/dry conditions. I plan to install the Suspension Systems 32mm greasable bushings (http://<u>www.energysuspension.com/p...ybbct.html</u>) on the front next. I think they'll fit without any mods. However, I may get lazy and just let Davenport do it when I go back in a month or so for my normal checkup.

Well, to close this out, I had the Energy Suspension 32mm Greasable Bushings (http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/swaybbct.html) installed on the front sway bar this morning, and they fit fine. Now, I'll just have both f & r greased with a gun every time I have the oil changed.
