With These Mods, Can I Do 0-60 5 secs FLAT?
I ordered most of the parts already, some I have on..
1) SRT Intake
2) Blitz Catback Exhaust
3) S&S Headers
4) Precision Industries 2800 TC.
5) 3.76 Torsen LSD
6) Valve Body Upgrade
7) Tom's Y Pipe.
I was wondering can I get below 5 secs or at least hover around 5.1-5.3 consistently?
Thanks

maybe on a very good day. rmmgs4's gs400 has pretty much the same setup, and his best time was 5.2, and usually around mid 5. low 5 is not easy on these cars at all, and the sc430 is heavier than the gs400 (slightly) too.
with the power you generating with those setup (mainly it's just 4, 5 and 6 anyway), traction becomes your biggest enemy

Seen GS400's with just SRT/LSD/TC run 5.2's. Once I find an LSD I guess I will know soon enough. My best w/ Gtech is 5.69 something around there. Gearing will really help as most if not all Lexus's have tall gearing. With all of the interest in the 3.76/LSD, I would think someone would have called for a Group Buy on the thing. Steve, you out there?

I agree with Henry: with ONE wheel drive, there's not much traction left for big improvements on the 0-60 dash. Still can't believe Lexus cheaped out on a limited-slip diff on a V8 car.
And for the record, I don't know where the heck Lexus pulled their 5.9 sec 0-60; the best I remember is 6.2, even with the magazine's abusive procedure. Later.

you could get a test pipe also. And instead of the SRT intake / ECU go with another intake or keep the SRT intake and use a SAFC to tune the fuel more. Also I dont know if you consider these mods, but an easy thing to do would be lighten the car up. IE take some stuff out or get a carbon fiber hood ect...
also get some light rims and some 285 tires in the rear on a 10.5 or 11 inch rear wheel? I am sure the added traction would be of great help.

i got 1735 kg(1/4 tank) = 3825 lb without me on the road... do the 0-60(real) in around 5.6-8 sec. without power braking at the start...
does anyone else weighed his car?
