Default Connecting DVD player to nav unit

Hey guys. Wats the simplist way to connect a dvd player to the nav screen. I know Vais Technologies is coming out with something like this early next year that allows an ipod and a video input to connect to the nav unit. Eugene at Vais was very informative on how it will work and it seems to be the best option. I probably will wait for that, but until then i would like something simple that would work. Ive been doin a bunch of online looking and found some, but alot of them seem generic and i dont think they will work. None of them seem to have an audio input. Any ideas?

thanks,

ku

There are a few on the market minus the audio input feather as you stated. A work around would be to either splice into the OEM audio wire (2 of them) under the center console shifter (hassle) or use an FM transmitter which I would think is the simplest solution for now.

He did not ask what (or "wat") is the easiest way to connect a DVD player to the NAV screen -- he wanted to know what (or "wat") is the "simplist" way. By this I presume he means "What is the simplest way" to make that connection.

There is no simple way, nor is there an easy way.

A lot of people have been working on this for a long time, and only a rare few have come anywhere near to success.

The easy (or simple) way to watch a DVD in the car is with a laptop computer.

Any other way lies madness.

. . . and great expense.

Yep, I should have my backup camera with DVD(other) input in as well shortly. Just taking my sweet time with it.
