They Tried To Steal My Baby!
I came back to my car after work on Friday to find the windows halfway down and the door lock destroyed. The thieves emptied the console storage and glove compartment and threw the stuff on the front seats, but that's it! I had an expensive pair of sunglasses and radar detector that they just threw on the seat. The cop that investigated said I was the fifth call they got in 45 minutes.
Based on what the officer saw, he felt they were strictly looking for the valet key to take the car. I don't keep it in the vehicle so they left.
Bottom line though, with the damage done to the door and lock, it's just under $1,000 damage. I was lucky though. About 200 feet away was a 350Z that they broke into and TRASHED the car.
JUST REMEMBER EVERYBODY, DON'T LEAVE YOUR VALET KEY IN THE CAR!

So sorry to here that your baby was violated.
Did they actually brake the key-locks on the console and glove compartment?
I have always wondered just how strong those key-locks are.

The auto body shop told me that someone had brought in an SC about a month ago that was an attempted theft. Apparently the thieves got pissed off because they slashed his interior = $20,000 damage!

Man this really chaps me. Very sorry to hear that these low life scum bucket trash did this to your car. Could have been worse I suppose, still, may the devil himself be watching anyone that tried that with any of my cars as it would not be a pretty site. 
Should be punishable by 15-20yrs in hard labor waxing Yugos the entire time.

LOL. That sucks.
Years ago my dad left spare keys by accident in the car, on the seat. No one broke into the car or stole it, which was a shocker.
Also my mother left the garage open one night, the car unlocked with the keys inside, no one stole it.
What luck.

I guess enough people leave the valet key in the car to make it worth these guys' while.
