I love the sl, because of its aggressive design and they make it so clear that its a fast car, unlike the sc430 which I goto the garage and glance at it and think
" Bug eyes ". It also suprises me that the sl500 is slower than the sc..haha fun fun

I have to admit the sc430 has grown on me a lot since we purchased it.

 

I very much disagree with that, I think the side profile of the SL with the top UP looks the worst, the roof looks tagged-on, the CL looks a lot better & more refined from that angle, & so is it's rear end. The CL looks a lot bulkier & I don't like it's smallish quad headlights compared to those of the SL, but it's proportion is actually better & the lines flow better than the SL from some angles.

 

well, 2006, yes, cz' it has the 6 speed auto, which makes the car faster overall. but 02-05 they are 5 speed auto and the car is slower

Yeah the SL500 had a 5sp for most of it's life, just recently it got a 7sp and then just now it got phased out for the SL550 which is a beast (relatively speaking).

 

I would like the AMG SL55 since the engine is hand built and it is about as fast as a Z06 Vette.

 

Why not the SL600?
Chip it and you're looking at easy 11 second 1/4 times.

I love boost.

 

Chip it and your warranty is gone on a already unreliable vehicle.
