What's the sequence for an '04?
As far as I know, my system is identical to '03 and '05, but different than '02.
Thanks in advance for the info.

Doesn't work for my 04. I guess they use a different system scheme for domestic. Make sense because even the nav screen looks completely different from the US version. Still, would be nice to override the function. Had to get off the express way to change route several times (no side roads here) not to mention addition express way entrance fee (~$7). It blows.

04 is not the same as 05, 05 is the first yr of gen 4 nav for sc430

OK as an example here is a common occurance for my wife who has a side business of running poker parties for a local service. Quite often she has a general Idea where the party will be when she leaves but does not have an address. When they call back along the road she can answer on the bluetooth and one of the people riding with her can type it in while they are driving. With out this feature you must do everything at a complete stop (meaning you must pull out of traffic and over to the shoulder and then program). We live in South Florida and the two main roads she travels on are generally 4-6 lanes wide so getting to a shoulder is not easy. With the override they can continue to enter while traveling along the road. Remember not every destination is a POI or your home. You can also access some of the phone functions that disable while moving with this overrride. On some of the other Lexus models there are more features that can be controled by the Nav Screen. These also are available while moving with the override.

It worked on my '06. Do you have to go through this procedure everytime you start the car or is this a one time adjustment?

Earlier in the thread Rominl said you've got to do it everytime you start the car.

yup, you have to do it every time you start the car unfortunately. to me it's not a big deal. just another extra 5 to 10 secs
