Alright, I have the Platinum warranty through lexus and want to know if these items are covered, or if any of you have had similar problems. Here we go:
1) center console will not stay shut, clasp must be loose
2) irritating rattling noise coming from drivers door when the music is loud, definitely something loose
3) backseat seatbelt magnetic holder is coming undone
4) the sliding protective cover in the trunk is coming undone from one corner
I bought the car used with factory 50K warranty intact. Then I bought the platinum warranty through the dealership. I live abt 2 hours away from nearest lex dealership and want to know if these are common problems. Thanks!

You will have to read your "platinum" warranty to determine if only the drive line components are covered; or the entire vehicle. The body warranty may have expired.
The topics you described appear to be body related ...

I read through it and it lists all exclusions, but the list is mainly composed of normal wear and tear items. I thought someone may have had similar problems like me.

Still, I'd discuss all of those with the dealer anyway, and argue politely. Afterall, these are marketed as reliable, luxury cars. I've had small things fixed that were beyond normal warranty. But, in the DFW area, there is a lot of competition for Lexus service, too.
Oh - the backseat belt holder issue probably won't be fixed. The magnets were really never that strong, and seem to release the belts easily. If they're flapping, do waht a lot of others have done, and get some seat belt pads at Pep Boys, etc.
The protective cover in the trunk is a safety feature to keep the top from closing on anything you had in the trunk - and forgot about - when you are dropping the top. I'd argue that one for sure.
