I was wondering if anyone has had anyone comment to them on or offline that thier SC430 looks like or similar to the G35 or 350Z?
My friend who works at lexus say that people actually come in and think its a G35 in the show room!?!? They ask him "Is that the new convertible G35?" I know the SC430 has cleaner lines but maybe I am the only one who sees this? The SC430 is MUCH nicer and more refined in design IMO.

There is some crude similarity but I totally agree with you that SC looks much much more refine than the GS.

I remember when the movie Terminator 3 came out , somebody posted in a G35 forum the trailer & thought it's a G35 convertible
. . . there are some similarities but I don't think it's easy to confuse the two except for those who usually pay very little attention to cars or have bad eyes.....

You will be surprised many ppl can't tell G35s from SC430s.
Some ppl even think my SC is a Toyota Solora.
It also happens to me often that some ppl finally recognize my car is a Lexus by its emblem, but still don't know it is a convertable.
If you de-badge or re-badge it to soarer, I bet some people either won't recognize your car or really think it is a Toyota.

I told him it's a Lexus, to which he replied : "Oh, it's a Japanese Audi TT ..."

You can actually sit in the back seat of a G35 but not the 430.
Front leg room is ample for us big guys in the G35 but the lack of legroom is what kept me from buying a 430.
Saw them side by side one day and was amazed how much smaller the 430 is to the G.
As for refinement, the 430 wins there hands down....unless you prefer a sportier car which the 430 is not.
