I just got back from a 10 day trip to Japan. I went to Superautobacs in Tokyo and spoke to a worker (yoshi san). I asked him about urethane body kits etc and he said there are not many in Japan and he didnt know why. Maybe the body kit styles change there so much that fiberglass is just faster and easier? With those VIP style cars like 1mm from the ground you would think urethane would be the way to go. Anyone else have any input on why there arent much if any kits for the SC430 in urethane? Having urethane would make me feel much easier about parking and speedbumps. Kind of like a little insurance.

(BTW for those who dont know urethane is a plastic type similar to tupperware but thicker that has "give", not ABS plastic thats riggid)

Are there any urethane kits for the SC430? is the pheonix power or Blitz one urethane?

The only urethane lip is the Lux-Mode, they make two different lips based on the bumpers for the 02 Thru 05 and the new 06 models as well, You can order them painted also...

I try to go up & down at a angle, the urethane does not crack, it is very flexiable.....

and actually, most body kits from japan they are fiber glass

i agree though, urethene would be a bit more flexible and forgiving
