Not really. They will check your transmission fluid and change all the fluid in the pan not the torque converter. If your fluid is bad then they will know it when they check your fluid and flushing it won't help at that point. Flushing can be a very bad thing if they put a cleaner and or conditioner in your transmission. Just get the normal service and do it every 30K miles. You only have 45K on your car now, and 60K would be a normal service interval that is not extreme. You should be fine with a standard service - they drop the pan check/change the filter element (it either has a metal screen or a filter) either way they determine the condition of the transmission and then they fill it back up with fluid. I would not want some shop that I don't know flushing the fluid in my transmission. JMHO

Thanks
That's for a flush for sure. And it's A LOT. This is what I'd do. Remove your dipstick and put a couple of drops on a white kitchen paper towel. If fluid is still reddish, which means GOOD, I'd do a 3X drain, which you can do yourself (drain, fill, and drive the car for 10/20 miles in lower gears to maintain the rpms up before the next one). It'll be a heck of a lot cheaper than $375. After that, I'd do it every 10 to 15K miles (just ONCE), coinciding with an oil change (once car is on ramps, it's a piece of cake). And by the way, for normal tranny service, dealers don't remove the pan at all. If you notice, no filter is mentioned even on the 'severe' schedule in the manual.

Now, if fluid looks brownish, you won't have a choice but to flush the fluid, and ASAP. Tell dealer to do it at the lowest pressure possible to prevent damage. And yes, they might have to get in there as well. Good luck, and keep us posted.
