My Dad has a 05 benz CL and I love the fact that all the 4 windows can wind down so its all open. (They call it the pillar-less window) Esp cool with the sunroof open too. I am surpirzed at how many people dont know about this feature. Here is the 07 one but basically its the same:

Are the rear windows in the 430 there for structure or something? Why cant they wind down? I did a search and did not find anyone who has solved this. I know the windows are small but when you have tint on the car and larger side windows down that little triangle piece looks funny IMO. Plus on a SUPER hot day every bit of open window to air out the car is a plus. Esp at noon time when the sun is just too hot to put the top down. Any ideas?

I think there are two reasons.
First, as the photo shows, the windows on the MB CL are fairly large. The windows on the SC are very small, and in 6 years, and through all kinds of weather, it has never occurred to me that having them down when the top is up would add anything, either in terms of appearance or in terms of ventilation.
Secondly, the cost to make this change to accomplish something so insignificant, is enormous.
It's just not a wise expenditure of time or money.
