Just "upgraded" from BMW to Lexus convertable. Loving it. But the one thing that is missing is a better wind deflector when the top is down. BMW has an aftermarket defector that covers the back seat and sits just behind the driver so that you don't get the vortex. Been "googling" to see if I could find something for the Lexus, but no luck so far. Any suggestions... besides wear a hat.

man, I think you can read a lot more Japanese than I do.
It is sold only in Japan for 15,000 to 16,000 yens.
I kind of told Jeff(DPRsupra) to get it through you since you are in Japan.
I really don't know how effective that reflecter is.
The height is increased by 50%, so I am sure the wind will mess up our hair less. haha
Believe it or not,I think the factory one has done a good job blocking most of the wind already.
You have seen me in person and should have noticed I also have long hair, but I've never worried about it.
People proably get this for their gf/wife, I guess.
By the way, it is custom-made by hand almost per order basis, so that was why I said it is cheaper to find someone local to do it.
Early this year,I saw a similar one with Lexus script embedded in it. Not sure if they are the same size because I can't seem to to find it anymore.
One of these days,I will go to the ASAA Racing shop your buddy owns.

Thanks to all for the ideas but I am not sure that a higher deflector would reduce the vortex enough to make it worth while. And as for the "Net type" deflector, that was basicly what I was looking for. BUT having following the links and finding out I would have to drill holes in the car to install it.... I would rather shave my head bald before I would drill a hole (let alone two) in this car.
So I am back to scrungies and hats for the time being.

My previous car was an Audi TT and it had a glass window that came up to the top of the the rollbar hoops using a switch on the center console (similar to a window). I generally found it only worked at low speeds. For the highway I generally left it all the way down. I drive close to 360 days a year with the top down and have not found any of these deflectors to have much effect on wind buffeting. Lowing the seat still is the best means I have found.
