Tire pressure light and Door rattles
My 06 sc 430 only has 2100 miles and the tire warning light just came on. Anyone having same problem? Also have rattles in driver door. Think it has something to do with connectors to auto seat buttons.
Was dealer able to solve your problems?

Check your tire pressure with a guage. Should be around 35 lbs. I run mine at 38 lbs at around 60 degrees outside temp. you lose 1 lb for every 10 degree drop in outside temp. So if your tires are at 38 lbs at 60 degrees if it gets down to 20 degrees outside you will be at 34 lbs in your tires. If one of your tires is low you need to check for a nail, etc.

Tire label says 33 psi for runflats. I put 35, but wouldn't do any more than that; it already rides like a brick, and has almost zero deflection; no need for more pressure.
Manual was originally written for regular tires, and that's why it says to raise pressure to 42psi, I believe, for speeds above 110 mph. No need to do that with runflats, but you'll still get the stupid light. In my 'private 60-mi track' < he he>, it lit up after 10 to 20 seconds at 120 or so, and went out after the same time below that speed. Car hit the limiter at 153, even at my 4K' of altitude, but felt a bit unstable (a little too much lift, as well as wobbly), but nothing scary. But still requires your undivided attention, and constant small corrections; no cruising with one hand here. Below 120 was rock solid. And I'd imagine being just like that up to the limiter with a drop, sway bars, and coilovers. Now back to subject .

Thank anyone that had sugggestions. Pressure went to 30 in cold nite air I think so light came on. Inflated to 33 and light still on.[I have run flats] I inflated to 35 and light goes off after few secs. I will test drive today.
Does light come on if overinflated too? I called dealer and they said they would call me back but never did.

Ed drive by the dealer and tell them to fix your problem. You have a new SC your paying for the great customer service. Have them air up the tires based on the climate you are in now. Then ask the tech all of your questions then report back to all of us.

My light also comes on at 30 psi, when the manual says 28, I believe. That's fine with me, by the way. So yes, that's normal.
As a comment, when one or more batteries go out, you'd get the light too. I'm hoping my low mileage means the batteries will last longer; we'll see.

The tire pressure sensors in the wheels have batteries in them for communicating with the car. Eventually the batteries die and from what I've read on the forums, they can't be replaced - you have to get new sensors and have them registered with the car's computer. Or just disable the TPS system with the instructions in one of the sticky threads at the top of the list.
