Really? I didn't know that. When I said, 0.5" I was just taking an educated guess. I won't know for sure until I actually measure. Henry, what's the minimum amount of clearance would you say I need for either the Stoptech or Rotora BBK front/rear? I'm just curious, just in case I do it in the future.

Thx Seize & LexArazzo for the kind words.

ummm, i think in general you want maybe around 1" to 1.5" space to be safe. i remember when we first put on the trafficstar on the sc430, it was still with stock brakes. there was a HUGE gap between the back of the spokes and the stock calipers. probably was like around 1.5" easy. now with the stoptech i have maybe 1/4" at most.

think of it this way, the stock caliper is 2 pot with springs, and the two pistons are actually on the inside. so what you see in the front, it's just a pad with springs. now imagine it being 4 pots, meaning 2 outside 2 inside. you need quite some space to "store" those pistons right?

But I'm a bit confused on why a 8.5" wheel ET23 would stick out. I'm running a nine inch wheel and I'm thinking I'm at ET25 and I want to run a 10 - 15mm spacer, I think the wheel is kind of sunk in a little too much. I guess this is just from the extra camber of lowering????

The front of these cars can take quite a bit of offset, I'm thinking my rear wheel may fit in the front.. heh heh...
Thx for the kind words. Yeah, w/the 23mm offset on a 8.5" (For these wheels since I can't speak for other wheels) they stick out by about 0.25" or so. It wasn't nasty looking but it did bother me since I'm **** about these kinds of things. There are 2 other sc430 owners that has iForged 20" wheels on Club Lexus (Garcia & TonyD1gtr) that I PM inquiring about their fitment. Both said they have slight rubbing issues (iForged's recommended offset in the front for this car is 18mm ). Based on this & other info (Thx Henry for making the sc430 fitment guide ), I decided I wanted a higher offset thus me doing 23mm originally.

Thx for everyone's kind words.

Henry, I'll keep that in mind if I ever get a BBK. Thx!

Jimmy,
The car looks really good in person! Now you would need a supercharger to go with that look.
