Default problem with navigation- calibration?

I took the car out last night and the nav was off by a couple city blocks. It made a world of difference (I never realized before how much I depend on my navigation....never will buy another car without it). Then I did a manual recalibration. But I still think it's slightly off ....ie. the little arrow sometimes is slightly off to the side from the streets. It looks just a little funny. I think I remember the nav being slightly off once before but then within an hour or so it just fixed itself probably by radar. Now I sort of wish I hadn't messed with the calibration. Hope I didn't screw it up. Anybody have some advice?

I always thought that the rule was never mess with the calibration.

When mine seems a little off it seems to readjust itself in a while.

Maybe somebody at the dealership knows how to check the calibration, but I don't think it's for an amateur.

i was afraid someone would write back and say that. i'm hoping the nav "fixes itself" when i take it out tonight. it looked pretty close to normal this morning (but I still felt that little circle around the nav arrow was just the slightest bit off target).

It's been about a week since I originally posted - my navigation continues to demonstrate some problems. The navigation is sometimes off by a city block when I first start the car up - then within about 200 feet of driving it seems to "fix itself" ie..snap back to the correct navigation position. This never happened before the last couple weeks. It tried calibrating at a street corner but the problem still persists. Any ideas out there?

I called the dealer- they said I need to bring in my car to be recalibrated (can't really be done manually without hooking car up to computer), could have been caused by satelite malfunction for a brief period. I garage my car underground routinely, maybe that had something to do with it. I'm so busy I have to wait until after the holidays to bring my car in.

I've noticed on mine when fully zoomed in (50yards) junctions are about 100 yards behind the actual junction...

Not sure if this is a problem or not as it does take some time to update.

Cheers
