A few weeks ago, I did discover an upside to having to have a cracked windshield replaced - you can get the installer to bury an XM (or Sirius) antenna completely. If you need to remove it, however, you'll have to cut the wire - no way it'll come out.

I mounted mine on the passenger side (I'm anti-symmetric) and painted it with touch-up spray paint that is close to the Lexus silver color.

Cool. I hate it when a windshield must be replaced as the work involved on the SC is very involved and I had to babysit and practically scold the installers. They were not too happy and I was a picky little $%^&. Seen too many go south really quick. I rrmoved most of the stuff before they showed up anyhow.

really? so the sc430 is a lot more involved in changing the windshield? ours had a crack and dealership did it under warranty, never thought about it
