Salil202,
Oh I see. Well, I'm glad you explained your definition of "fun". And I do apologize for jumping the gun earlier from your comment about the SC430 is not as fun as drive scenario.
I think most folks here enjoy and love their SC430 for the overall "fun" factor that it has to offer, even w/ it's minor limitations for those "fun" factors you've mentioned to the IS350 that already has.
Of course, there's a limited number of folks like pearlpower, gee-bee and a few others who take that "fun" factor to another level.
Which is precisely why you need to get that hard top drop top and mod to your liking.
Whatever you decide, I think your next "fun" ride will be worth your while.
Or you can wait till the re-design of the SC comes out in '08.

OK, Now we have a IS250 not a 350 but I can offer the following input. If you like the feature set of the IS then you may be let down a little by the SC not having ventilated seats, smart key, backup camera and next generation navigation...The SC does have side mirrors that tip down in reverse that are not on the IS and of course you will have to demo the top to everyone that visits. The SC has a wood/leather steering wheel that looks good but the all leather is a little more functional. I like the button arrangement better on the IS on the front of the wheel verses the hidden ones on the left side of the SC wheel. Steering feel is subjective, The IS is lighter and more communicative. The SC has a slower steering that takes about a half turn more lock to look. What this does is make it rock stable rocketing down the highway with less tendency to wander. The SC is a machine made to put effortless miles on, the IS is a better back road carver. I've driven an IS350 and would call it close to a tie in a drag race. The SC is quicker than most give it credit for. With the six speed it plain moves on command. In the manual mode it will rip along just fine. Ride over rough objects like train tracks are a coin toss as to which is better. From sampling every model with all engine options at the taste of Lexus test track the IS250 (yes I do mean IS 250 not 350)is the best handling car in the Lexus line right now. Having 100lbs less over the front axel verses the 350 makes a big difference. I would slate the SC chassis and handling more competitive to the GS. Riding with the top down this car is the best I've had from a long string of convertables spanning the last 30 years. You can talk at 60mph with the windows down as long as the other cars do not have a really loud sound. My wife and I love just getting in on a Friday night and cruising along the coast with no specific place to go. I do not have the ML stereo in the IS so I can't compair the two.
