I'm trying to do some research on the SC430, i'm thinking about going back to Lexus shortly and the SC has always been one of my favorites.
I've been reading alot about running 20x9f/20x10r and how its a pretty conservative setup. So what would be aggressive? I have a picture on my computer of a guy with a white turbo SC430 and he's got at least 20x11 in the rear. If I roll and shave the fenders can I run 20x9f and 20x11.5 in the rear? What about 20x12?
Thanks!

uhh...I think that guy was on a custom metal WIDEbody. Do you want an aggressive look? or do you want aggressive rims for fat tires to back up some power you're looking for?
You can get the aggressive look and you do it by ordering custom offsets. I think you should probably search before saying you want to run 20x12's...

Its not the width of the wheel but the offset when you talk about aggressive fitment. A 20x7 can be made to have more lip than a 20x13. But usually a wider rim does have more lip.. But its all about the offset.
But to answer, I would say an aggressive fitment would be 10" wide wheel in the back with an offset of 10. This is taking into account that you will stretch the tires, roll the fenders not to remove any of the camber.
The fronts can fit alot also but I have no hard numbers. My 19x9 ET 26 fits with about 20mm to spare but keep in mind that rubbing may start if you push the offset too far, but who knows...
Find out what the other guys here are running, I know Dan's car has some pretty aggresive fitment on the front and rear.. 20x11's if I remember right for the rears..

i have 285 on my 10.5, offset 29. it's more about what kind of tires too. my 285 is actually a bit stretch on the 10.5 (dunlop). if you get michelin, you will cry coz' it won't stretch at all (and my dunlop already marginally clear)
front i have 9 +24 (i think) with 255 and it rubbed. that's mostly due to 255 tires

20x9 20x10.5 Iforge doesnt give out offsets but from my own measurements +/- 3 mm its at 32mm I was running 255/35/20 up front and 285/30/20 falkens. the front were rubbing like a ^&*^$%^ my new set of tires I picked up a cheap set of 245/35/20 nittos for the front and some 285/30/20 falkens in the rear. i was super slammed with -3 degrees camber and it was fine. I have since raised it up so its no longer tucking tire but right on the line and I can get -1.8 camber now. I cant afford burning through tires anymore.

Tony,
I don't remember if I pm'ed you awhile back or not but I confirmed w/Vince (owner of iForged) that the standard offset setup for an sc430 (like yours) are the following:
20x9; 18mm offset &
20x10.5; 32mm offset
Since you told me awhile back you were rubbing a little in the front, I had Vince make me that 36mm offset for the fronts thus no rubbing whatsoever.
Thx for the help Tony.
Your info saved me from rubbing.
Hope that helps.
