Default new nav update looks different?

I own a 2004 sc430 dark green/saddle. Just got my wife a 2007 RX350 with nav. The new nav is has a pretty neat graphics display....I was wondering, if I ever go for a new nav update disk, is the screen display any different? actually the new nav display isn't clearly better, but it does look kind of sleek as far as graphics? for those out there who might have updated recently, do the graphics change also?

as far as I know. The answer is NO because they are different generation of Nav. I recently updated my 2001 GS nav. The graphic has very minor change.

As Mark said, it will only update map info and POI, no new feature will be added.

They are different systems made by different suppliers.

The newer screens are higher resolution, which is why it looks sharper and crisper, and is one reason why the older GEN discs cannot be read by the newer systems.
